If you've completed a payment on BYDFi's P2P platform but the merchant hasn't released the cryptocurrency, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Contact the Merchant

Use the in-app chat feature to reach out to the merchant directly. They might have overlooked the payment or require additional confirmation. Clear and prompt communication can often resolve such delays.

BYDFi facilitates the P2P trading platform and holds the seller's cryptocurrency in escrow until the transaction is confirmed. However, all payments are conducted off-platform, and BYDFi doesn't have the authority to reverse or enforce payment actions. Therefore, it's crucial to ensure all payment details are accurate and to keep thorough records of all transactions.

To minimize the risk of such situations:

  • Always verify that the payment has been received in your bank or wallet before marking the transaction as completed.
  • Avoid including sensitive terms like "crypto," "BTC," or "USDT" in payment references, as they might trigger banking issues
  • Be cautious of merchants with a history of delayed releases.
  • Utilize the blacklist feature to avoid future transactions with problematic users.
