How to Add a Web Page to the Home Screen on iOS Devices
Adding a website to your iPhone or iPad's Home Screen allows for quick and convenient access, similar to launching a native app. This feature is especially useful for frequently visited sites like BYDFi.

Steps to Add a Website to Your Home Screen on iOS
1. Open Safari
Launch the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Navigate to the Desired Website
Enter the URL of the website you wish to add. For instance, https://www.bydfi.com.
3. Tap the Share Icon
At the bottom of the screen, tap the Share icon.
4. Select "Add to Home Screen"
In the share menu, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Note: If "Add to Home Screen" isn't visible, scroll to the bottom of the share menu, tap Edit Actions, then tap the green plus (+) next to Add to Home Screen to add it to your share options
5. Customize the Shortcut Name
A preview screen will appear. You can edit the name that will appear beneath the icon on your Home Screen.
6. Tap "Add"
In the upper-right corner, tap Add. The website icon will now appear on your Home Screen.
How to Remove Shortcuts?
To remove a website shortcut, tap and hold the icon, then select Remove Bookmark or Delete Bookmark.
Troubleshooting
- "Add to Home Screen" Option Missing: Ensure you're using Safari, as this feature isn't available in other browsers like Chrome. Also, confirm that the website isn't opened in a private browsing window.
- Icon Not Appearing: If the website doesn't provide a custom icon, a default thumbnail will be used. This doesn't affect functionality.
