Why does my credit card keep getting declined on crypto exchanges?

I've been trying to use my credit card to make purchases on various crypto exchanges, but it keeps getting declined. Why is this happening and what can I do to resolve it?

It's possible that your credit card is being declined on crypto exchanges due to security measures put in place by your credit card issuer. Some credit card companies have restrictions on purchasing cryptocurrencies due to the high risk associated with the industry. To resolve this, you can try contacting your credit card issuer to inquire about any restrictions or limitations they may have on crypto purchases. They may be able to lift the restrictions or provide alternative payment methods.

Credit card declines on crypto exchanges can also occur if your card is not enabled for international transactions. Since many crypto exchanges are based outside of your country, the transactions may be flagged as suspicious and declined. To resolve this, you can contact your credit card issuer and request to enable international transactions on your card. Alternatively, you can try using a different credit card that is already enabled for international transactions.

At BYDFi, we understand that credit card declines can be frustrating. While we don't have control over credit card issuers' policies, we recommend considering alternative payment methods such as bank transfers or using a cryptocurrency wallet to fund your account. These methods are often more reliable and can help you avoid credit card declines on crypto exchanges.
