Can someone explain the possible reasons why the live datafeed to BitMEX is not staying open? I have noticed that the datafeed keeps disconnecting and I'm not sure what could be causing this issue. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

- Khaireddine ArbouchMay 25, 2025 · 2 months agoI've encountered similar issues with the live datafeed to BitMEX before. In my case, the problem was actually caused by my antivirus software blocking the connection. It's worth checking if your antivirus or firewall settings are interfering with the datafeed. You can try temporarily disabling them or adding an exception for BitMEX.
- Locklear HendrixSep 22, 2020 · 5 years agoSometimes, the live datafeed to BitMEX may not stay open due to high server load or heavy traffic. This can happen during periods of high market volatility or when there is a surge in trading activity. In such cases, the datafeed may get temporarily overwhelmed, leading to disconnections. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do in this situation except to wait for the load to decrease.
