I'm considering using the GTX 660 for Ethereum mining, but I'm not sure how it performs in terms of hashrate. Can anyone provide information on the hashrate that can be achieved with the GTX 660 for mining Ethereum? Is it a good choice for mining this cryptocurrency?

- Lợi NguyễnJul 24, 2023 · 2 years agoThe GTX 660 is a decent option for Ethereum mining, but it's not the best choice if you're looking for high hashrate. It can achieve a hashrate of around 12-15 MH/s, which is lower compared to newer and more powerful GPUs available in the market. However, if you already have a GTX 660 and want to mine Ethereum, it can still generate some profit, especially if you have access to cheap electricity.
- Halberg MonradDec 15, 2024 · 7 months agoWhen it comes to Ethereum mining, the GTX 660 is considered to be an older generation GPU. While it can still mine Ethereum, its hashrate is not as competitive as newer models. You can expect a hashrate of around 12-15 MH/s, which is relatively low compared to more recent GPUs. If you're serious about mining Ethereum, it might be worth considering upgrading to a more powerful GPU to maximize your mining efficiency.
- Jackeyy3Jul 03, 2020 · 5 years agoThe GTX 660 is an older GPU and its hashrate for Ethereum mining is not as high as some of the newer models available in the market. However, it can still be a viable option for mining Ethereum, especially if you're on a budget or already have a GTX 660. Keep in mind that mining profitability depends on various factors such as electricity cost, mining pool fees, and the current price of Ethereum. If you're just starting out or mining as a hobby, the GTX 660 can still generate some income for you.
- Umid RajabovNov 28, 2021 · 4 years agoAt BYDFi, we recommend using more powerful GPUs for Ethereum mining to achieve higher hashrates and maximize mining profitability. While the GTX 660 can still mine Ethereum, its hashrate is relatively low compared to newer models. If you're serious about mining Ethereum, we suggest considering GPUs such as the GTX 1070 or RTX 3060, which offer significantly higher hashrates and better performance. Remember to also consider factors like electricity cost and cooling when choosing a GPU for mining.
- Joshua TorreonMar 08, 2022 · 3 years agoThe GTX 660 is not the best choice for Ethereum mining in terms of hashrate. Its hashrate is relatively low compared to newer GPUs available in the market. If you're specifically looking to mine Ethereum, we recommend considering GPUs like the GTX 1070 or RTX 3060, which offer higher hashrates and better performance. However, if you already have a GTX 660 and want to mine Ethereum, it can still generate some income, albeit at a slower pace. Just keep in mind that mining profitability depends on various factors and it's important to do your research before investing in mining hardware.
