- S BinarJun 19, 2023 · 2 years agoReplay protection in the bitcoin network is an important security feature that prevents the same transaction from being executed multiple times. It works by adding a unique identifier to each transaction, called a transaction ID (TXID). This TXID is generated based on the transaction's inputs, outputs, and other details. When a transaction is broadcasted on the network, it includes its TXID, which serves as a digital signature. Miners verify the TXID and ensure that it has not been used before. If a transaction with the same TXID is detected, it is considered a replay attack and rejected. This protection mechanism helps maintain the integrity and reliability of the bitcoin network.
